A Getaway Chalet is nestled in the natural wooded setting of the Smoky Mountains. Close enough to indulge all that Gatlinburg has to offer yet far enough away to enjoy the solitude and tranquility of the mountains and wildlife. BEARS GALORE! We love watching the bears pass by early in the morning and again in the evening hours. View from a distance. Just don’t feed the bears

In extreme cold weather, the hot tub maintains its heat best when the cover is kept on, as the water will naturally cool 5 degrees/hour when exposed to cold air.

Chalet Village is a premier destination in the Smoky Mountains ! The neighborhood borders the national park. Prime location with quick access to the strip, restaurants and the national park.
All roads are maintained and snow promptly cleared in the winter. Driveway is wide and not difficult at all to navigate. Room for trailers. Ample parking space

7.) We are surrounded by trees. While this is peaceful, it does mean you will encounter bugs, insects, spiders, leaves, pollen, small twigs. Pollen and leaves will settle on outdoor furniture and decking. After rain, outdoor cushions will be wet. During the colder months, small wildlife critters (such as mice) may attempt to reach warmth inside the chalet. Nature tries to make itself cozy. While the house is professionally cleaned, keep in mind the house is still a mountain chalet amongst nature and wildlife.
8.) 4 wheel drive recommended during some winter months based on weather. Even though roads are plowed, there are times when driving may be dangerous during winter storms.
9.) Damage protection – The $40 charge listed as a “management fee” on your quote covers your purchase of $1500 of “all risk” damage protection coverage on the rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a cash damage deposit. Coverage details are spelled out in the rental agreement.
10.) Large driveway. Trailers, car haulers and campers welcome.
11.) In extreme cold weather, the hot tub is designed to maintain a cozy temperature between 100°F and 104°F when the cover is on. However, when the cover is off, the water temperature will naturally drop 5 degrees per hour due to exposure to the cold air. This is completely normal and part of how hot tubs work! To keep the water warm for your enjoyment, we recommend limiting the time the cover is off when the tub is not in use
